BHS

Things are not looking too great at the moment for BHS. I am keeping my fingers crossed that the business survives as, along with Marks and Spencers, these really are, and have been for decades, the real backbone of Swansea's High Street.

The 99p Shop is No More

The 99p shop, which was located opposite Poundland on Oxford Street, is no more. And guess what is going to replace it  - another Poundland. That makes two large Poundland stores right across from each other. Hmm - isn't it great to see so much variety in the shops here!

Oxford Street

Winter, at long last, seems to be withdrawing its gloom from Swansea's streets. For the first time in 2016, after a full day at work, I caught the sun setting over the city instead of the usual gloom of dusk. And how it transformed the place! I half expected to see Dick Whittington and his cat to walk out of the glare at the end of this street paved with gold.
